Award Winning Short Story Podcast...!
The podcast iteself, for the uninitiated, is really just an audio file (in mp3 format) you can download and listen to me read my short stories aloud.
For those of you who are interested in the technicalities - I record the initial version on a C90 cassette using a tape recorder with built-in microphone. This is then transferred via Teletext to a gramophone factory who press it as a 7" record. At this point the record is sent to my tent at the circus by courier monkey. We then harness the power of the internet using a ballgag and leather straps and use the big top to amplify the signal so that the iTunes satellite can pick it up.
It's a lot easier than you would expect.
And the award? Well thanks to your votes and those nice folks at the North East Digital Awards I was awarded the Best Podcasting Campaign 2007/08. Have a listen and see why.
