Chris Steib, a veritable Jeeves to my Bertie Wooster (except for the fact that he's an American) has been a jolly good old chap and interviewed me for the website Gather.com.
It's a bally hoot if I do say so myself with us shooting the breeze about everything from short stories to podcasts to ebooks to websites. I've popped it in the Press Coverage section of this site for posterity of course.
Not long til the voting ends on the old North East Digital Awards so why not toddle across there now and vote for me?
Pip pip.

It seems to me that, being as I'm nominated for Best Podcasting Campaign then I better post a new short story reading for you all. This one is 'A Beginner's Guide to Stalking'.
Everyone has to have a hobby and every professional needs to learn the basics first. In this podcast let me talk you through Stalking 101.
Oh and don't forget to vote for me for me in the North East Digital Awards! It would be most appreciated.

No, it's not a stark confession on writer's block - if you want that you're on the wrong short story site I'm afraid. This is a new short short story called 'Worried About Metaphor'.
Want more encouragement? It's a story of embarrassment, music and - of course - nob gags.
Incidentally if you haven't already voted for me as Best Podcasting Campaign in the North East Digital Awards why not toddle across there and vote too - it only takes a second.
Then you can read the story by clicking...

Just thought I would give you an update on the Awards status... Many, many thanks for everyone who has voted for me as Best Podcast Campaign in the North East Digital Awards already.
The game is well and truly afoot as I already have competition from other entries so if you haven't voted already then please click on one of the banners on my site or this title of this post and then vote - it only takes a second I promise :)
On the same subject there is more support on the way confirmed from Medium Magazine and Gather.com (courtesy of Chris Steib) who are going to be doing some interesting stuff to get people to vote - will update more as it happens.
Vote Maxwell. You know it makes sense.

To coincide with the site's nomination in the Digital North East Awards for Best Podcasting Campaign (Don't forget to vote!) I thought it prudent to continue that campaign and so I've posted a new mp3.
It's called 'Sherry For Breakfast' something I think all of us out there have done at least once in our lives. Right?
No? Okay well never mind, this is a story for anyone who has ever wondered what happens when you befriend tramps. Anyway you can go and download it here in the audio section or alternatively do the sensible thing and click the link below, go and subscribe to the podcast.
