I am, I really am... a few updates from around the net you may be interested in - Modart Magazine featured the short story 'Teeth Like a Burnt Fence' in their blog whilst saying some lovely things about how wonderful my short stories by email thingy is.

In addition to that Adrian Graham has published 'Let's Get Kraken' flash fiction on his site. Adrian has previously reviewed this website as well as my short story collection so I must be doing something right if he wants to publish stories too :) Have a dodge across to his site for a growing collection of interesting news and features on short stories and fiction.

Just a quick update for you - have been playing with the version of the website I created for mobile phones...

For those of you who missed the announcement there now exists a stripped down version of this site containing just the short stories and flash fiction which is optimised so that it is really easy to use on your mobile phone. So whether you have an iPhone, Blackberry, PDA or one of those massive jobs they used to use on the A Team you will be able to cruise read my stories wherever you are. Which is a good thing, surely?

Anyway I have now sorted out most of the styling issues (and by that I mean previously it had no style and now it does). Have also done a bit more optimisation based on your feedback so have a dodge across, read the short stories on your mobile phone, play with the site and keep giving me feedback - thanks to everyone who has already done that, I appreciate it :)

Just a quick update - the current edition of Medium Magazine features me and my big mouth doing a reading of 'A Beginners Guide To Stalking' so for those of you who haven't heard it get along and download.

Yes indeed - now let me explain. Since starting the podcast there was a small problem lurking on the horizon and that was what can you do with a first person female narrator?  Tempting though it is to do the whole thing in a kind of Donald and Davy Stott falsetto I had so far shied away from doing one as a podcast.

And then I had an idea... Rosalind Wyllie, a fellow author and good friend of mine has a novel coming out, it's called Everything You Ever Wanted, it's excellent and it made me think in an entirely altruistic way - why don't I ask Rosalind to read the story for the podcast so she can get a bit of publicity for her fine debut?

So I did. And she said yes. Then we recorded it (in one take no less!) and here it is... Rosalind Wyllie reading Romance on the Buses for the podcast.
